Special Edition: My Eating Adventures in Las Vegas, NV

City Center

I’m back from a short trip to Vegas to visit friends.  Over about 4 days we covered some great little spots to eat that I’d like to share with you.  These are excellent places to check out way off the strip and away from the crowds.  See the whole photo album with the food and sights HERE.

With this trip went a big chunk of my dining budget for the month, so the next couple weeks may be a little light on new postings.  I’ll probably pull some groupons out of the stack to help out 😉

One thing that is the most relevant to Roseville is that we went to Yardhouse one night.  With that visit I tried the ribeye, clam chowder and onion ring tower.  The ribeye was one of the better steaks I’ve had in recent memory.  Cooked perfectly rare, it was very flavorful and tender.  The clam chowder was simple – not heavy on potatoes but not on clams either.  Very similar to Claim Jumper’s clam chowder which I love.  The onion rings were crispy and awesome in the chipotle ranch sauce.
